2009: The 60th anniversary

Beijing was painting the town red and flying the flags in honor of the 60th anniversary of New China's founding. Nearly two of the third page was devoted to the grandest National Day gala.

On the bottom of this page, we have a story of founding fathers' families recalling their stories of how they celebrated the founding of the People's Republic of China 60 years ago and shared what they felt about the changes in the country in the past six decades.
