The man withdrew the lump sum payment of about 200 million yuan in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan, said a worker at the city's China Welfare Lottery center.

The payment was made after deducting about 50 million yuan for tax. The man also donated 10 million yuan from the jackpot for impoverished children and elders in a Sichuan county, he said.

The center did not provide the winner's identity.

China's highest lottery prize, a record 565 million yuan, was won and claimed in 2011, by a man in the eastern Zhejiang province.
