5.3-magnitude quake hits Philippine Islands region

HONG KONG - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale jolted Philippine Islands region at 15:25:23 GMT on Saturday (23:25:23 Hong Kong Time), the US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 57.60 km, was initially determined to be at 5.9090 degrees north latitude and 127.3748 degrees east longitude.
