Police in southwest China's Sichuan province rescued 15 infants, some sick with colds and pneumonia, after busting a major human-trafficking ring and arresting 78 people involved in supplying babies to wealthy buyers.
Chinese youngsters read books in a subway carriage for half-an-hour during the "Let Reading Occupy the Subway" campaign in Beijing on Sunday. Some 53 participants, including three foreigners, took part in the campaign, which aims to encourage people to read more books.
